After a sponsored award is issued, the post-award phase begins. Our office partners with principal investigators, departments, and Sponsor Research Services (SRS) to establish the project billing account, monitor compliance with sponsor and institutional terms, oversee expenditures, manage budget adjustments, cost-sharing, assist with invoicing and reporting, and guide the award to a timely and complete closeout. Clear communication, accurate documentation, and proactive oversight ensure that the institution meets its fiduciary and regulatory obligations while enabling researchers to focus on advancing the project’s objectives.
